SENIOR STUDENTS GO ON A CAMPUS TOUR

The Campus Tour is an activity organized by the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Office of SSIS Malarayat as part of its College Placement Service for graduating students. For the first run of the campus tour for this year, the first graduating batch of SSIS Malarayat visited the De La Salle University-Taft and the University of Santo Tomas-España, Manila, 12 October 2012.

The De La Salle University and the University of Santo Tomas

This activity aims to let the senior students have a first-hand experience of a college or university set-up, and to give them opportunity to know more about the academic programs, facilities, campus culture, and student life of the university that they visit.

First stop: The De La Salle University. A Lasallian student ambassador shares her experience in school as she tours SSIS students around the campus.

The students are awed by the entirely different environment they saw in the universities they visited. This made them a bit excited about going to college next year, and a bit nervous as well for a new chapter in life they are about to take.

The Campus Tour is just a part of the many activities that the Guidance Office of SSIS prepares for high school students. After being exposed to different career options in their third year through Career Exploration Seminars, and knowing their strength, weaknesses, and interests through career assessments, they are now given a chance to look for a university which can give them the best education possible, depending on the course they plan to take.

Next month, senior students will visit sister schools Southville International School and Colleges and Southville Foreign University for the second run of the Campus Tour.
